i’m errbufferoverfl (they/them). welcome to my webhouse.

work only takes up 23.81% of my time so instead of making it my whole personality, i fill the rest with:

  • making zines about things like who really picks pantone’s colour of the year, the politics of horror movies, and why hot chips deserve more respect
  • drawing, painting, and occasionally battling linoleum blocks like they personally wronged me
  • reading books i pretend are research (but really just deeply niche interests)
  • writing strongly-worded submissions to government consultations
  • staring at my plants and wondering if they’re judging me
  • staring at my plants and judging them like they judge me
  • building things (like oauth servers or random scripts) i may or may not finish

the other 23.81% of my time?

by day, i’m a security engineer focused on security partnerships, working within an app-based browser ecosystem. i mostly write python (because i believe in using the right tool for the job—and sometimes the fun one). I’ve got a bit of a knack for federated identity (if I do say so myself), and i like building little tools that either solve problems or create entirely new ones.

depends on the day.

what’s your favourite…?

  • thing to do when I’m supposed to be productive? tag books on libby as “want to read” knowing i never will

  • kitchen utensil with no practical purpose in my life? my silicone rabbit tea infuser, because i never make just one cup of tea

  • thing to dramatically sigh about? my computer charger being just out of reach

  • way to assert dominance over inanimate objects? apologising when i bump into them

  • completely unnecessary step in my routine? putting five extra pillows on my bed
